There are no serious health risks associated with travel to Turkey. No vaccinations are required for entry. Tap water is heavily chlorinatedo but is still not guaranteed to be safe (most locals don't drink it) Bottled water, bottled sparkling mineral water or carbonated mineral water are also abundant. Many travellers to Turkey experience stomach upsets; if you have a sensitive stomach avoid half-cooked meats (usually grilled), salads, and milk products other than yoghurt and ayran. The first port of call with a minor complaint should be a pharmacy (eczane). Pharmacist are well-trained and many speak some english. The Turkish health system has public and private hospitals. Private hospitals are well equipped and have highly professional stuff. In the hospitals mentioned below, you are offered an excellent service and consultation with English speaking doctors.
