Riva

Riva is located along the Black sea coast of Istanbul ,between Anatolian Light House and Sile. Riva has a wide and long coast. A nice and quiet place to relax and enjoy the sea. Riva Castle is located on a hill, which is ruined until present time. It is mentioned to be built against the danger from the Black sea through the Bosphorus.The history of Riva goes through the Bysantium period. At the beginning of the century , most of the population were greek people;whereas after I.World war , the greek people migrated and new habitants from Black sea started living here.

Apart from the cost line, River of Riva is running thrugh the green Riva valley.The river gives the chance for fishing also. Little local restaurants and picnic places can be found along the rive side.
